Michael Scotto: The Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to deals with Skylar Mays and Eugene Omoruyi, sources told @hoopshype. Mays appeared in 38 combined games for the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers last season. Omoruyi appeared in 43 games for the Washington Wizards last season.
Josh Robbins: The Washington Wizards are expected to waive Eugene Omoruyi today, a league source told @TheAthleticNBA. Omoruyi's salary of $2.2 million for the 2024-25 is non-guaranteed, and waiving him would reduce the Wizards' roster to 16 players, not counting people on two-way contracts.

The Wizards have rented a 14,000-square-foot ballroom at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and turned it into a temporary practice facility that also includes weight-room equipment, a large TV for film sessions and tables where athletic trainers and physical therapists can treat players. For eight days, it serves as the Wizards’ home away from home. “This is beyond a blessing,” forward Eugene Omoruyi said.
