French center Joffrey Lauvergne has joined Kuwait SC, his agent confirmed on Sunday. The 34-year-old was a free agent after leaving LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne in June and is now set for a new challenge with the country’s dominant club. Lauvergne is a veteran of 170 EuroLeague games, including 19 in the 2024-25 season, where he averaged 11.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game His recent stint with ASVEL lasted three years, following two seasons each with Zalgiris Kaunas and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul between 2018 and 2022. Early in his career, he played for Elan Chalon and Partizan Belgrade. The French center was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 55th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.
