Delonte West: "LeBron James is what you call a point guard at the highest level you can go to. He don't have to call a play. He just has a mental cerebral part of his game where he knows how to get to places on the floor naturally and the offense just generates around what he's doing."
Former NBA players Michael Beasley and Delonte West squared off in a boxing match Friday night in Miami, with Beasley scoring a first-round knockout win. The heavyweight fight took place at the Brand Risk 16 event promoted by streamer Adin Ross. This was Beasley's second combat sports appearance after he lost an influencer MMA bout at Brand Risk 14 in May. West, meanwhile, stepped into the ring for the first time.

Delonte West: "We were playing Cleveland, out in Seattle, the first month of the season, and I was cooking them. I remember we were sitting at the foul line, and LeBron James, he was like, man, I followed you in college. You remember that time I came to Philly at the Palestra to watch you play? And I was like, yeah, I remember. He was like, man, you want to come play with Cleveland? I thought he was just doing a veteran trick. (...) I thought he was just trying to get me out of my game by getting familiarity. But he was serious. He asked me to come play with Cleveland."

Speaking recently on Kick streamer N3on’s livestream, West shared how the James family still makes him feel belonged. “A lot of those guys that I play with, LeBron, he's my ‘him’, and you know his family…called my mom all the time to make sure I'm okay,” West said during the stream. “Miss Gloria (Gloria Marie James, LeBron’s mother). She called my mom; she’s still the same. You know, (she used to say) ‘Tell my son. I seen him; you better get it together, don't make me come take on',”
Former NBA guard Delonte West, a beloved figure who has faced difficult years since leaving the league, is stepping into a new arena, and he's getting a hand from one of the biggest names in streaming. In a video making the rounds on social media, popular Kick streamer N3on set West up with everything he needs to launch a streaming career of his own, and the reaction from the former sharpshooter was all smiles.
Delonte West says he’s 100 days sober. On March 25, a man named Ted Sheely posted a video of West on Facebook. In it, West is wearing an all-black outfit with Jordans on his feet and a chain around his neck, holding a phone and an energy drink — and smiling. “Yeah, I’m out here with my man Ted, you know what I’m saying? Get your shine on,” West says in the video. “We out here in Florida. Uber just pulled up. Cadillac. We out here with Wellness Fitness & Performance. They got me right and tight. Today, I’m 100 days sober,” he added.
Delonte West has found himself in trouble with the law again -- the former NBA star was arrested last month in Virginia after he allegedly robbed an individual -- TMZ Sports has learned. Law enforcement tells us they received a call from a person who reported getting robbed and assaulted in the 5900 block of Richmond Highway in Belle Haven ... and claimed the culprit ran off on them.

When cops arrived on the scene, they learned the individual in question didn't get far. The caller pointed out the man across the street as the one they were looking for. It turned out to be West, whom officials in the area have unfortunately become familiar with over the years. We're told he was taken into custody without further incident, and he posted a $1,000 bond. They say the total amount taken from the victim was around $23. He's due back in court in March. We reached out to his lawyer for comment ... but have not heard back.
Delonte West found himself back in the slammer in Virginia -- this time, for a scary situation. The former NBA star was taken into custody on Nov. 3 after the Fairfax County Police Department received a call for service regarding a male found unconscious and not breathing, the department tells us.
Officers arrived at the scene at a section of Fair Haven Avenue and Richmond Highway with EMS, and found him to be breathing. Police tell us they offered to take West to a hospital and he refused. He was so intoxicated, he was arrested for his own safety, they add. West has since been bonded out, and it's unclear if he will be facing any charges at this time.
Delonte West has been arrested yet again, TMZ Sports has learned. The Fairfax County Police Department tells us ... the former NBA star was thrown behind bars in Virginia on Nov. 2 -- after he was accused of trespassing.
