Eddie House: I'm with Brad Miller, what he said. It's not about rebuilding, but you retool. Right before the All-Star break, you find a couple guys that you could piece together and bring in maybe some young players to play with a few older players and then you start creating that culture and changing that culture because if it's just older players, they're already stuck in their ways. We know that and it's a lot of times that's not going to change. You get guys that are 10-year vets. They going to play like how they play. But you get somebody that's starving, like we were saying that's starving, looking to make their bones in the league. I think that's what they got to do and they're going to probably have to part ways with somebody that's on that team whether it be Zach LaVine or whether it be DeMar DeRozan. And it might be a mutual thing for everybody. They get a breath of fresh air.
Matt Barnes: I got a 10-day contract with the Clippers. I want to say my first time, my first practice… First of all, the Clippers used to be ran by Donald Sterling, who's a piece of sh*t, let's just be honest. Eddie House: For real. Barnes: And it was such a bad college that there was no locker room, no showers, and you used to have to keep the back doors of the gym open so they didn't break into your cars."
Kendrick Perkins: “Was I the only 2008 member missing from the duck boat? No, I wasn’t. (Eddie) House, my guy, he was there. Leon Powe, great friend of mine as well, he was there. Scal was there and Paul (Pierce) was there. There was still 11 other guys missing. And to be honest with you, if I would’ve gotten an invite, which I didn’t — I didn’t know we was supposed to — but anyways, nine times out of 10, I would’ve turned it down. … That’s not our moment. That’s 2024′s moment. Let those guys have their moment.”
Celtics on NBC Sports Boston: "If I'm the one that's motivated you and I haven't played since 2011 then there's an issue there." @EddieHouse_50 responds to Cole Anthony saying the Magic remain motivated vs. Celtics because of Eddie's comments last season
Recently, coach Doc Rivers has turned to Harrell. There was a stretch where Reed was getting the look behind Embiid, but Rivers made the switch to Harrell in the win over the Charlotte Hornets in the second of a 7-game homestand. With that being said, one has to wonder if Rivers would like to have a permanent option to turn to every night to nail down a consistent rotation. “Yeah, but that may not happen and I’m fine with that,” Rivers said on Sunday at practice. “There’s a lot of teams that go through that. We won a title doing that one year. We literally did. Big Baby (Glen Davis) or Leon Powe. Tony Allen or Eddie House. They didn’t play every night, but I thought to our team, it was very healthy because it was a competition.”

Eddie House: It’s different when you’re a coach. If you cannot get the superstar guy to buy into what you are doing, it is almost a failed cause. On every single team I’ve played on, even the team I played on with LeBron James, they were this close, they wanted Spo (Erik Spoelstra) out, but Pat Riley was like, ‘Hell, no! That’s my guy, and we gonna win with him.’ It took another leader to say, ‘No, this is how it goes.’ That’s Pat Riley I’m talking about.

Former NBA player Eddie House, on "The Odd Couple" podcast, noted that superstars asking for the head coach’s head isn’t uncommon. He likened the Brooklyn Nets’ situation to the time LeBron James asked the Miami Heat to fire head coach Erik Spoelstra: “It’s different when you’re a coach. If you cannot get the superstar guy to buy into what you are doing, it is almost a failed cause.“On every single team I’ve played on, even the team I played on with Bron, they were this close, they wanted Spo [Spoelstra] out but Pat was like, ‘Hell, no! That’s my guy and we gonna win with him.’ It took another leader to say, ‘No, this is how it goes.’ That’s Pat Riley I’m talking about.”
Can you talk about this year’s group? Pete Mickeal: Yeah. So, this year group, we have some really, really good names. A guy named Royce Hamm Jr.; he went to UNLV. I think he’s going to surprise a lot of people in the way he plays. He’s a four, five, but he can put it on the floor. He can shoot and he is really explosive. We also have Jaylen House, which is the son of Eddie House, a player that played for Miami heat. He averaged 19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in college. Those are great stats in college. Also, Taze Moore that won NCAA slam dunk competition. We have JD Notae from Arkansas. Arkansas was a top five team in the nation, and he was arguably the best player. I mean, he averaged 19 points a game on a top five team in the nation. That’s very difficult to do. So, those are our bigger names. We have kids from Oregon, California, Ohio state Louisville, Kansas state, Florida, Houston, New Mexico.

For years, the conversation surrounding LeBron James dealt with comparing his talent to that of Michael Jordan. According to most, James has firmly entrenched himself as the second best NBA player of all-time behind Jordan. However, former guard Eddie House joined "Undisputed on Wednesday and accused James of quitting during the 2011 NBA Finals that the Miami Heat lost.
