However, the Fresno State graduate revealed that his goal this season was to showcase his talents in attempt to pursue an NBA comeback next season. "I'm definitely trying to get back into the NBA. I'm not done with that. I came to Israel to see how (life and basketball) is overseas, but the goal is to get back to the league. I have a guaranteed contract with no outs, so I'm gonna stay here for the year and hope for the best," Dominic McGuire said.
"I could've went to vet camps but it's not what I was looking for," the 28-year-old McGuire added. "The main thing for me is security -- if I have to get that overseas -- I have no problem doing so."

The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired six-year NBA veteran Dominic McGuire. McGuire, 28, has appeared in 342 games (84 starts) over six seasons with the Washington Wizards, Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Bobcats, Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors, New Orleans Hornets and Indiana Pacers, holding career averages of 2.7 points and 3.4 rebounds in 15.6 minutes played. McGuire began the 2013-14 season in training camp with the Utah Jazz, where he appeared in five preseason games.
