French big man Kevin Seraphin announced in an interview with FIRST TEAM that he’s retiring from professional basketball at the age of 30. Seraphin, the 17th pick of the 2010 NBA Draft, played seven years in the NBA with Washington, New York and Indiana. After leaving the NBA in 2017, he returned to Europe to spend the following two seasons in the EuroLeague and Liga ACB with FC Barcelona. He was inactive in 2019-20 and ultimately decided to retire after dealing with knee injuries.
Kevin Seraphin will take the season off and try to recover from the knee injury. The French big man, as reported by l’Equipe, could retire soon.

The Pacers waived center Kevin Seraphin on Monday, a league source confirmed to VigilantSports.com. The transaction had to be completed by August 1, the trigger date for Seraphin’s contract. Otherwise, his salary, worth $1.9 million, would have become guaranteed for the 2017-18 season.
Seraphin was not expecting to be waived, according a source close to him.

French forward/center Kevin Seraphin has emerged as a player that interests Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo. Seraphin, 27, signed a two-year deal with the Indiana Pacers in the previous summer but the second year of the contract is not guaranteed. The Pacers have until August 1 to decide if they will keep him for 2017/2018 or not.
