Joe and Williams addressed the crowd as well. Joe thanked the crowd for their support. "Whoever thought two homegrown kids from Fort Smith, Arkansas, would be home holding this trophy right here," Joe said. "We would not be able to do it without you guys, just know that." Williams also thanked everyone for a great turn out. "It means the world to Isaiah and me, the support we get from y'all, it makes me want to tear up," Williams said. "It's crazy how many games we have where it's Arkansas fans, or people telling me 'I'm from Fort Smith.'"

Two Fort Smith natives and Northside High School alumni are being recognized by their hometown after achieving NBA glory. Jaylin Williams and Isaiah Joe made Fort Smith proud in June as members of the Oklahoma City Thunder's 2025 championship team. Now, a month after their historic win, the City of Fort Smith is planning a celebration to honor their achievements in the streets where they grew up.
Fort Kids Children's Museum announced Monday its capital campaign reached $2 million, thanks to a donation from professional basketball player and Fort Smith native Isaiah Joe. The gift from Joe, who plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder, brings the museum closer to its capital campaign goal of $16.3 million, with $7 million needed to commence construction, according to a news release from the museum.
Former Arkansas star and Fort Smith native Isaiah Joe signed a three-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers totaling nearly $4.2 million with a 2-year guarantee on Friday, just nine days after the club selected Joe with the 49th pick in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft. The two-year guarantee is on the front end of the deal and is worth more than $2.4 million, with the total potential three-year compensation working out to $4,198,912.
