You went to the same high school as Brad Pitt, how was it following that legacy? Anthony Tolliver: I mean, he’s a movie star. Obviously, it’s hard to beat Brad Pitt in a popularity contest. He’s kind of the big shot that came from my high school. I actually had a classmate, Lucas Grabeel, who was one of the stars in High School Musical. We graduated the same year from Kickapoo. I don’t know if Brad Pitt had any big-time sports guys in his year. One of the most popular movies of all time is High School Musical, and with me playing in the NBA for 13 years, we had a pretty strong class. We also had a guy we graduated with who has won multiple Grammys for producing. So, yeah, we have a very successful class.

Paperwork from the seller was signed by Howard Altman, a Hollywood business manager whose firm has been linked to Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks and Dawyne “The Rock” Johnson.

The Lakers kick off their season Tuesday, while Jackson’s squad opens their season Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls. “I don’t talk about Knicks stuff. I am not part of the Knicks. That’s not my business,” says Buss, who wears an emerald-cut three-stone engagement ring — designed by the jeweler who made the last two Lakers championship rings — on her left hand. “We’re just like so many other couples that are bicoastal and trying to figure out when we can spend time together. I don’t think we’re fascinating. We’re not Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.”

A little something while we wait today to see whether the owners and players really can finally pull off a new labor deal... I'm hearing Adelman's son R.J. is not going to be an assistant coach, but rather a player personnel guy who will bring a lot of the same statistical analysis -- the same kind of stuff featured in the new film Moneyball (but without Brad Pitt) -- to the process that the Rockets use under their GM, Daryl Morey.
