While Butler is the most prominent hooper in the coffee market, he faces competition from brands pushed by former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, actor Tom Hanks and influencer Emma Chamberlain. Coffee is an increasingly lucrative business: Grand View Research, a market research firm, estimated the global specialty coffee market at $101 billion in 2024 with expected annual growth of 10 percent through 2030. Butler said he has already spent “millions” on Big Face, which has a staff of six employees, plus 15 retail workers in Miami. “Creating a business and sustaining it, everybody knows you don’t make money the first couple of years,” he said. “It’s a passion. It’s not about the money. That will come later on in life; I’m sure of it. It’s competitive in coffee, but the best thing is there’s space for everybody.”
