On Zion Williamson: “Zion is still our guy. If he wasn’t, we could have waived him for like nothing on the books. We could have reset everything. But we believe in Zion. He wants to make it work, and so do we. This partnership hasn’t even come close to reaching our best yet,” a Pelicans front office executive said.
Jrue Holiday: "I think Zion is one of the most talented or most gifted players that I’ve ever seen. His athletic ability, how he can get to the rim, get by people—it’s unbelievable. And I feel like sometimes it’s about fit. Maybe, I don’t know, they have to adjust the fit to him down there. Or, if needed, he might have to slide out and find a better fit somewhere else.
Christian Clark: Zion is back in the lineup tomorrow against the Hawks. Brandon Ingram, who has missed the last three games, is listed as questionable. Jose Alvarado, Naji Marshall and Trey Murphy remain out.

Christian Clark: Final: Pelicans 112, Clippers 91. Zion with 21-12-7 in his return. Dominant second half. New Orleans improves to 4-2.
Cassidy Hubbarth: Zion with the 360 dunk during his pregame workout. 👀 He is still out indefinitely but is progressing well and is continuing controlled 5 on 5 work.

Over the following few days, fans would go crazy trying to guess his current weight, but ESPN's Tim MacMahon seems to have found the answer. According to his sources, Zion is at 330 pounds right now, which puts him among the heaviest players in NBA history. "The number I've heard from several places about Zion is 70 pounds higher than 260. You do the math."

Will Guillory: NAW also said it meant a lot for Zion to encourage him in the 4th when he showed some obvious frustration on the bench: "It means he wants to win. It means he wants everyone to do good, not just himself. When he's there, he's really in the moment. He's engaged. He's locked in."
Cassidy Hubbarth: David Griffin told me that Zion is expected to get scans on his right foot by the end of this week & that will dictate how they progress from one stage to the next. Right now he hasn't been cleared to play, he is doing one on none, no explosive work, running just straight lines.
StatMuse: Zion Williamson is having the greatest volume shooting season in NBA history (15+ attempts per game). 61.4 FG% — Zion this season 60.4 FG% — McHale in 1987 60.4 FG% — Kareem in 1980 60.1 FG% — Shaq in 2005 pic.twitter.com/zD8OLAILOb
Christian Clark: Zion is averaging 26.8 ppg. Ingram is averaging 24.2 ppg. Ingram: “I think the crazy thing about it is we’re doing this without actually playing off of each other as much. I think it’ll be even (more) dangerous when we play off of each other."
