Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul have officially announced the mutual departure of big man Luka Samanic, who has been in his home country of Croatia for personal reasons.

Luka Samanic’s stay at Fenerbahce is over even before he played a game in the jersey of the Turkish champions. The Istanbul club made it official, but stated that they’ve kept the rights to Samanic until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Samanic spent the last season with the Utah Jazz in the NBA, averaging 4.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 43 games. During his time in the NBA, Samanic has also played for the San Antonio Spurs.
