Per the docs, obtained by TMZ, it's actually Nia who'll be receiving monthly child support -- and even though the court said she might be entitled to upwards of $56k ... the 2 parents ended up landing on about half of that, with Ime agreeing to pay her $32,500/month.
Nia Long is seeking full custody of her 11-year-old son with ex-fiancé Ime Udoka, nearly one year since the coach’s affair with a co-worker went public, according to court documents obtained by The Times. The “Friday” and “You People” actor claimed that the NBA coach has “failed to support” their child and requested that he pay for attorney and legal fees, according to the petition, which was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Aug. 14.
But if it seems like the Celtics dealt with the situation the best way they could, don’t be so sure. Long believes there was an alternative way to handle it. “The Celtics made a choice to make my family business public, and I don’t understand why. It could’ve all been handled internally. I do understand why, but I can’t talk about it. Maybe one day I will,” the Love Jones actress said in an interview with The Cut. “You know, fear drives stupidity, and I’ll leave that right there. I’ve learned that I’m stronger than I ever thought I was.”
Few public figures are afforded the collective warmth Nia Long felt after news broke that her ex-fiancé and partner of 13 years, former Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka, had had an affair with a staff member in the team’s organization. Following Udoka’s suspension and the breakup, Long relocated from Boston to Los Angeles with their 11-year-old son, Kez.

Nia Long and Ime Udoka are going their separate ways. A source exclusively confirms to PEOPLE that Long, 51, and Udoka, 45, have ended their 13-year-relationship after the former Boston Celtics head coach allegedly had an affair with a female subordinate within the team's organization. "The situation is unfortunate and painful, but Nia is focusing on her children and rebuilding her life," the source says.
A rep for Long also confirms the couple are "no longer together but remain fully committed to co-parenting their son [Kez]." The couple's split comes after the Boston Celtics held a press conference in September to address Udoka's suspension.
Actress Nia Long finally broke her silence regarding the Ime Udoka cheating scandal that rocked the NBA. The Boston Celtics head coach was suspended indefinitely for alleged indiscretions at the workplace. As TMZ reported, Long with the role the Celtics organization played in the ordeal. “I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son’s face,” Long said. “When the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public… I’m sorry, no one from the Celtics organization has even called to see if I’m OK, to see if my children are OK. It’s very disappointing.”
On Sept. 23, the Celtics called a press conference to address Ime Udoka’s suspension. The decision was as unprecedented as the severity of his punishment within the NBA. “I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son’s face when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public,” says Nia Long, who took her son out of school when the news broke. “It was devastating, and it still is. He still has moments where it’s not easy for him. If you’re in the business of protecting women — I’m sorry, no one from the Celtics organization has even called to see if I’m OK, to see if my children are OK. It’s very disappointing.”

As news of Udoka’s transgressions spread across sports outlets that day, so did a swell of support for Long on social media as the disgraced coach issued a statement apologizing to players, fans and his family for letting them down. “I literally felt like my heart had jumped out of my body,” she recalls of the media blitz. “And then what I found was this tribe of women and men who were standing up for me in a way that felt like I was in this bubble of protection, and that was very comforting.”
Fresh Prince of Bel Air actress Nia Long has said little about her cheating Boston Celtics coach fiancé, Ime Udoka, but the father of her first son is all about forgiveness. 'We talk as a family, and it's all about unconditional love, and that's what she's giving him,' Massai Z. Dorsey told DailyMail.com, sharing his thoughts on the scandal in an exclusive interview. 'We're sticking by him 100%.'
Dorsey, an actor and businessman in Beverly Hills who met Long on the set of her NBC crime drama Third Watch, remains close to his ex. The two are co-parenting their 21-year-old son, Massai Dorsey II, with whom he speaks regularly. 'All I could say is good things about Ime,' Dorsey, 51, told DailyMail.com. 'He's a good man. All these years. I'm happy he's in my son's life.' 'Ime made a mistake,' Dorsey said of the coach's affair with a female staffer, which led to an investigation and a decision by the team to suspend him for the season. 'Every man needs another chance,' Dorsey continued. 'Like the Bible says, the flesh is weak. He's not a bad guy. Hopefully, he's learned from this.'
Actress Nia Long has issued her first statement following the yearlong suspension of her longtime partner, Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka. In an emailed statement to Boston.com Friday morning, the award-winning actress asked for privacy to “process the recent events” and vowed to “continue to focus” on her children. “The outpouring [of] love and support from family, friends and the community during this difficult time means so much to me,” Long said. “I ask that my privacy be respected as I process the recent events. Above all, I am a mother and will continue to focus on my children.”
