For the 18th time in franchise history, the Magic are distributing at least $1 million in grants to local nonprofit organizations, the Orlando Sentinel learned Thursday. The team will distribute a record total of $1.6 million through the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation this season with the first set of grants being distributed in surprise visits this week to nonprofit organizations in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties assisting at-risk youth in Central Florida.
